Shaw Media Client Widget on your desktop vs. on the web:
The Shaw Media Client Web Widget has been created for those individuals who can not install applications on their desktop. To access the content go to http://www.shawmedia.ca/widget/Clientweb/ to view the latest news and research.
To access the same information without having to launch a browser, install the widget locally using the Desktop Install. Once the Shaw Media Client Widget is installed an icon will appear on your desktop to start the application, as seen below:
