Global presents the most complete local newscast in the Regina/Moose Jaw area, The Evening News at 6. Global Regina’s Evening News at Six won the Bert Cannings Award for Best Newscast in the Prairies, medium market, at the 2011 RTNDA Canada awards, The Association of Electronic Journalists. The Evening News is preceded by Global National with Dawna Friesen at 5.30, offering Global viewers one full hour of comprehensive news and information programming. This hour delivers to our viewers the most local news, weather and sports coverage as well as a look across the country and abroad. Our daily newscast is supplemented with our website, globalregina.com, which is continuously updated with local news, weather and sports that impacts our viewers. Our Evening Newscast is uploaded to our website, along with uncut interviews, features and more to deliver a complete news experience 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. |

While Jill Morgan is on maternity leave, Heather Anderson anchors the evening newscast. Heather is a Regina local who started out as a reporter for Global Regina. Born and raised in the Queen City, Heather identifies with what matters most to the citizens of Regina and surrounding communities.
Jill Morgan delivers the day’s news in a reliable, trusted manner and has become the face of Regina’s first choice for local news. A Saskatchewan native, Jill has combined her hometown experiences with expertise gained working across Western Canada to form a solid foundation for delivering news in a confident, friendly and professional manner. |

Jaclyn Whittal
Jaclyn grew up watching thunderstorms with threats of Tornados on hot summer nights in a small town near Windsor, Ontario. Jaclyn’s knowledge of extreme weather is supplemented by partaking in a ‘Tornado Hunting’ trip in 2011, where she witnessed the devastation from the largest tornado in 60 years in Joplin, MO.
Jaclyn knows how the weather can change and the impact it can have on our lives. Currently studying with Mississippi State University in the Broadcast Meteorology program, Jaclyn’s passion for weather is evident with highly accurate weather casts each night at 6.00 and 10.00.

Derek Meyers
Warren Woods and Derek Meyers are Regina’s most recognizable and trusted sports personalities. Nightly at 6.00, 10.00 & 11.00, the Global Sports team goes beyond the highlights and scoreboards to bring viewers features on athletes locally, nationally and internationally.
The main focus of Global Sports is local teams such as the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Regina Pats, Moose Jaw Warriors, University of Regina Rams and the University of Regina Cougar Athletics.
