This contemporary take on a classic series follows a new elite federalized task force on a mission to stop the crime that washes up on Hawaii’s sun-drenched beaches. When Detective Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin, “The Shield”) returns to Oahu to investigate his father’s murder, he decides to stay after Hawaii’s governor persuades him to head up the new police unit. Working to hunt down the biggest criminals in town, along with the brash new FIVE-O unit, McGarrett vows to bring closure to his father’s case and eliminate the seedy elements from the 50th state.
